About Me

Hi there! My name is Yumei, and I'm someone who absolutely loves traveling, hiking, and photography—these are currently my top three passions. I have a keen interest in trying new things and am always curious about the unknown. Meeting new friends is something I genuinely enjoy because it opens up opportunities for learning and growth.

Traveling allows me to explore different cultures and landscapes, which is incredibly enriching. Hiking gives me a sense of adventure and a chance to connect with nature. Photography is my way of capturing beautiful moments and expressing creativity.

I thrive on stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing fresh experiences. It's exciting to learn from every encounter and to broaden my perspectives. Making new friends along the way adds a special dimension to my journey, as each person I meet brings unique insights and stories.

I also do a lot of sports. For example, I am currently taking boxing classes and have been doing so for three months now. I really enjoy boxing as it makes me stronger. I also like running, cycling, skiing, kayaking, and more. I am planning to go to Spain in August to learn surfing. I am very eager to try different kinds of sports. If you could introduce me to a new sport, that would be fantastic. Please let me know in advance so I can bring my sports clothes and shoes

I'm eager to continue exploring, learning, and connecting with like-minded individuals. Here's to embracing life's adventures and discovering the world together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm really into traveling—it's totally my thing! Exploring new places isn't just about the sights; it's also about meeting awesome people. When I travel, I love connecting with locals and fellow travelers. Everyone's got their own story and perspective, and chatting with them opens my eyes to so much.

Meeting new friends on the road is like a crash course in life lessons. You pick up all sorts of cool stuff—like cultural tips, travel hacks, and just different ways of looking at things. It's mind-blowing how a simple chat with someone can teach you so much about the world.

Traveling has made me more mindful and respectful. Every place has its own vibe and customs, and being aware of that makes the experience richer. From learning basic phrases in a new language to understanding local traditions, it's all part of the adventure.

Overall, traveling isn't just a hobby for me; it's a lifestyle that keeps me curious and connected. Here's to more adventures, more friends, and more mind-blowing discoveries along the way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One cool thing I'm about to do is live in Greenland for four months starting next April. I might even be the first Chinese person to live in Greenland for that long! Watch out, polar bears, there's a new neighbor in town!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really into language exchange. Right now, I'm studying Danish at a language school here in Denmark, and I'm also trying to teach myself French (although I have to admit, my French skills are still pretty basic!).

Learning languages has been a fun and challenging journey for me. I love the idea of connecting with people from different cultures through language. It's fascinating how language opens doors to new friendships and experiences.

So, if you're interested in language exchange or just want to chat, feel free to reach out! I'm always up for practicing Danish, stumbling through French, or sharing language learning tips. Let's learn and grow together!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing travel stories, even though I've only been traveling for 3 months—I've already got some amazing stories to tell!

If you're interested in Chinese food, I'd be delighted to cook for you! By the way, I'm pretty good in the kitchen.

Let's connect over travel tales or delicious dishes—I'm excited to share experiences and make new friends!
