About Me

Hello guys, I am Yun, a tiny girl from Taiwan. Growing up in a countryside, I like observing things in nature and also have great interest in small things. Neither extremely outgoing nor a really shy person. Let's say, a mild person who is also very easy-going and optimistic :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like traveling around the world and getting in touch with different kinds of people. Now study arts and culture in the Netherlands as an exchange student, so through this exchange period, I want to grab the chance to meet more people around the world. I like staying at hostel and chatting with various travelers from different places, but I would like to change a way, to meet more locals. Only when meeting locals and communicate with them, I could truly know more about one country.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mayday, Passenger, Taiwan Indie...

Movie: I don't watch movie that often but we could talk about tv series like Holmes, Black Mirror, Orphan Black... etc. Recently, I've watched LION, the movie about a lost men searching his home. How the camera works and the image are so touching!

Books: I am not addicted to particular type of book, but I do have one poet in favor, William Wordsworth. Kinda romantic for me. And I majored English literature back in Taiwan. So, if you are a english literature lover, we could chat about it (have to admit that I am not into middle english literature and I always forget about the content of stories. Yet, still interested in chatting about them.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jungle-flying in Thailand's forest was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Trees beneath me, wind blowing next to me, and the high speed from one tree to another were so good!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I could teach you some Chinese or Taiwanese. If you like, we could practice speaking in poor Japanese or even more poor Spanish. Also, I do chinese calligraphy, and I enjoy inviting my friends to write with me.

Share: Definitely we could share our viewpoint of the world and what we've been through in different countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stroopwafel of course!
