ABOUT ME

Hello, I am Yurika, from Japan. I am an university student in Tokyo but my hometown is Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture. It is a city great for walking around & plenty of beautiful gardens and greens!You can enjoy both futuristic and historical aspects of the city . I like the atmosphere of my hometown.

I am currently studying abroad in San Diego, CA. My year abroad changed me dramatically. I became outgoing and curious about everything. I met lots of great and open-minded people from all over the world which gave me different perspectives and changed the way I see the world and my country.

I like cultural exchange! I would like to know what is interesting, weird, fun, delicious...by meeting and talking to people! Associating with people make me feel connected with their countries and become more aware of what is going on in their countries.

I love Food! I like cooking people Japanese people and having them cook their native dishes : ) Food is good because we all need food and love food. This is something connecting me to other people even without words. My dream is traveling all over the world and seeking for delicious food!

I also love coffee too! My dream is visiting cafe all over the world : )

My friend recommended me to join CF. She met a wonderful host through CF and built a long-term friendship.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just started CS. However, my family in Japan sometimes accepted homestay students so i know how hard and at the same time time so much fun to host and meet people from all over the world.

Interests

I have a wide range of interest. I like drawing, music, movies, seeing musicals. What I like the most is meeting and making friends with people. I have made friends from all over the world while I have studied abroad in the US!

I love movies. I watch the random movies. (I watched so many movies and cannot list them here)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Disney World in Orlando and visited all 5 parks in there!I talked to Mickey and danced with Tiger. (He is actually talkative!)
