About Me
Hi. I’m Yura. I was born and grew up in Siberia, later my family moved to Kaliningrad - the small piece of Russia between Poland and Lithuania. I finished school specialised in tourism there. Then my curiosity in other cultures and languages brought me to Poland. Now I live in Lodz - an amazing polish city, that I love to call «Polish Detroit». Currently, I’m studying English Philology with French and try to explore the world in my spare time :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: it always depends on the mood, but my all time favourite band is Alt-J. These are just some names you can find in my playlist: Adele, Florance + the Machine, Benjamine Clementine, Moses Sumney, Lorde, Hollywood Undead, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, ZAZ, Eminem, K. Flay, The NBHD, TDCC, Moby, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, Guns N' Roses, Kanye West, Rammestine and so on and so forth. Also, I do listen to lots of Russian, Polish and French music as I speak/learn these languages.
Movies: The Intouchables, The Social Network, This is England, Trainspotting... I used to watch a lot of movies, but as I'm growing older, I'm becoming more selective about what I'll spend 1,5-2 hours of my life on. I genuinely like documentaries and dramas. Btw my fav comedy is Easy A :)
Books: I enjoy reading non-fiction and stories based on real events. What I would recommend to everyone are The Help and 11/22/63.
