Overview
About Me
I’m a 22-year-old student from Marmara University in Istanbul, currently in Poland for my Erasmus exchange. I’m here to collect as many stories as I can both mine and others’. Since traveling requires a visa and my budget is limited, I want to make the most of this opportunity while I’m here.
I used to play basketball, but I’m generally into all kinds of sports following, discussing, and sometimes still joining games. I read and research regularly, mostly driven by a simple goal: trying to understand the world better and hoping for a fairer one.
Because of my field of study, I’m deeply interested in intercultural communication learning how people live, think, and express themselves across cultures. I also love films (my favorite is the Italian classic Il Postino) and enjoy long, meaningful conversations about books, films, musics or just life in general.
If you host me, I promise to bring curiosity, respect, and good company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I don’t just want to visit places. I want to experience them through the people who live there. Hotels and hostels can’t offer that.
Meeting locals, hearing their stories, and sharing mine is what makes travel meaningful to me.
As a student abroad, traveling on a limited budget is challenging, but I see that as part of the adventure. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to connect with people, learn from different perspectives, and build real friendships instead of tourist memories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, in the same month, I worked a part-time job, went to university, played in a basketball tournament, hit the gym regularly, led a student community, and still found time to watch seven movies and read three books. I somehow survived that month and didn’t lose my mind
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some basics of basketball, gym - boxing training, and a few Turkish culture, cuisine Turkish phrases that sound impossible to pronounce but fun to try. I can also share insights about Turkey's situtation. In short, I can teach you the secrets of surviving in a country like Turkey :))
I want to learn how people live and think in different cultures not just what they do, but why they do it. I’m also curious about local history, art, and daily habits that don’t appear in guidebooks.
I love sharing stories, playlists, and meals. Whether it’s a conversation about books and films or just cooking something simple together, I enjoy moments that make people feel connected.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good stories, good conversations, I love cooking simple meals and would happily make something from Turkish cuisine for you.
