Hellö! My name is Yusuf, and I work as a lecturer at a university. After spending some time in the UK and Japan fr my PhD, I returned to Ankara to work. I live here with my wife, Yasemin who is also a lecturer. I love long walks, deep conversations, experiencing new things, visiting new places, good books and quiet (sometimes crazy) evenings.

We can live only one life, but there are billions out there. This is why I love to read novels: I am curious about other lives and experiences!!! Listening to different stories and experiences, being a part of it seems to me fantastic. I think it's amazing to learn how other people live their life.

兴趣

I like lots of things.

Hiking has become my favourite activity, especially after living in Japan. I'm trying to expand my interests to camping, but I still need experience and knowledge for that.

I started photography and loved it! The idea of paying attention to your surroundings in order to capture the best shot fascinates me. It makes me more lively and alive.

I don't know if I can describe it as my interest, but I love cycling, especially while listening to Chopin :)

Most importantly, I'm in love with learning :) It doesn't matter what it is; it could be anything: The political economy of Ruanda, how to cook delicious steak, ship construction in the early ninetieth century, your cat or dog, the history of the Trans-Siberian railway or just about your relationship with your crazy neighbor.... So, I like both being intellectual and dumb :))))

Music: Classical music, especially Chopin.

Series: Sherlock, Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Westworld, The Big Bang etc.

Books: Many.... But I'm obsessed about Ursula K. Le Guin. And if you like her, definitely hit me up!

I think I've never done something that I can define as "amazing", but I watched the sunrise on the top of Mount Fuji. This was one of the moments that I can describe as "amazing". Maybe I'm overthinking it, not sure...
