About Me

Mactub.
Im glad that something great is guiding me to you :)

Nice to meet you!
I was born in L.A. and grew up in Belgium and Japan. Now Im 20 and living in Nagoya, beautiful city in Japan.
Im not shy like typical Japanese but love talking to other countries people to know new things.
As im a student, I want to know more about the world before I decide what Im going to do after graduation.

I've been taking an absent from my uni to travel around the world and writing a novel about it.
As you can see from the first word "Mactub", Im a big fun of a novel "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho.
Ive been writing a new edition of "The Alchemist" by meeting people and experiencing new things with them!!
In the book, a Spanish boy learns a lot of wisdom of life by meeting some guiding people through his journey to find a treasure hidden in the Pyramids in Egypt.

Because of the reason, I prefer to use CS to get new stories and learn something from local people, which I cannot get when I stay in hotels.
So far, Ive been hitchhiking from Istanbul to Athens and asking local people to let me stay to enjoy their places deeply.
Sometimes I hesitate to ask them for bed (because Im outsider and they dont really know about me) but they always welcome me and enjoy my stories. Im so happy with that!
Im just a beginner of CS so i I try my best to give hosts good memory and not to bother their private life.

So far, I've traveled in India, Pakistan, Turkey, and Greece in this journey.
Now I have only 150 euro to keep travelling to France but I believe that someone help me to complete this journey to publish a novel!
Sometimes I feel worried and lonely as Im travelling alone and dont have any friends and information about new places. I cannot even speak their languages :(

If you are kind enough to create this story together, please help me.
I appreciate your support from bottom of my heart.

I love travelling and I've visited more than 20 countries in my life!!
Hope I can share those memories with you too :)

In the end, if you have any chances to visit Japan, please tell me.
I surely make time to take you around or help to make your journey great!

See you soon :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I mainly mentioned about it in "About me" but add some more reasons:)

I think couchsurfing is one of the best ways to feel new places.
Local people know many real things around the region(ex:culture, good places to eat or visit).
And to know the region, best way is to talk to people.
As hosts on couchsurfing are warm and kind, it surely makes my experience unforgettable!

Because I'm writing a novel, I want interesting events in my journey.
For example, discovering new thoughts, idea, culture or things that I've never experienced.
It's a bit hard for me to get those things without local people's advice as I don't know anything about new places:(

I'm, really looking forward to seeing you!!
