I graduated from Fudan University, Shanghai, China. I also completed a master's degree in medical anthropology at the George Washington University. I'm now studying anthropology as a PhD student at UCDavis. I focus on alternative communities that support well-being.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed to my first host's place when I attended an anthropology conference in Chicago. My first host was a sweet girl who works as a social worker. We shared interesting conversations and stayed in touch after I left Chicago. My second host was Duo Yang, a kind man who makes great pastries. He was extremely welcoming. He baked cakes to make people happy. I didn't stay for long with him but we shared friendship and also, I got to meet some of his great friends. I cannot forget these positive experiences and the mutual trust, respect, and understanding among people in the CS community.

I think CS is a way to connect, share and provide mutual support in a non-commercial way.

I love old Chinese songs by singers in 1980s.
I played classical music for 7 years and recently I learnt music theory and I'm getting into improvisation and composition, exploring Jazz and ambient sounds.

I'm an anthropologist so I'm very capable of intellectual conversations: nerdy stuff from spirituality to the social theories that I read. I'm very knowledgeable about healing, psychology, non-dual meditation. And I just started dancing and I am developing bodily awareness.

O Que Posso Compartilhar com Anfitriões

Music skill(playing piano and a little bit guitar, have elementary knowledge of music theory), Practice language: French(elementary) and Chinese Mandarin(native) if desired, dance and experiences of being in different inspiring alternative communities. I think I'm a kind person and many people think it is enjoyable to be around me. I'm a good listener, sensitive and empathetic, with acute self-awareness, firm but flexible boundaries. My meditation experience makes me have the ability to be the ground in a group. I'm also a deep thinker, able to engage in conversations.
