About Me
Hey, I’m Yutong! I just finished my Master’s degree and decided to take a gap year before figuring out what’s next. Right now, I just want to travel, see the world, and meet as many amazing people as I can.
I’m a big musical theatre lover — Hadestown, Les Misérables, and Benjamin Button are my top three. When I’m not at the theatre, you’ll probably find me with my camera — I love taking photos, filming little vlogs, and editing them into memories.
I really enjoy good conversations, spontaneous adventures, and those small, quiet moments that make travel special. Hoping to meet kind, curious souls along the way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience local life in a real way — not just as a tourist. Staying with locals feels like the best way to understand a place from the inside.
And honestly… I’m also traveling on a student budget, so Couchsurfing helps make my dream of seeing the world a little more possible!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived my Master’s degree at Imperial College London — including countless all-nighters, endless coding, and one week where I slept only 6 hours in three days just to finish a project. Honestly, making it through and graduating felt like a miracle (and yes, I’m still recovering)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Mandarin if you'd like to learn! and if you also like musicals, we can come to see together!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share bits of Chinese culture, stories from my studies, and what life in London is like — from the student side! I’ve also recently fallen in love with musical theatre after spending the past couple of months watching shows around London, so I’d love to chat about that (even though I’m still learning and definitely not an expert yet).
