What's up? I'm Zaaz, and I'm a full time student at University of North Carolina Wilmington. I am studying Marine Biology and Political Science, with the goal of eventually using both skills to help defend the oceans from pollution and overexploitation. I have a laid back travel style, and I don't mind if nothing goes according to my itinerary. I love learning what makes a city, town, or village unique and experiencing it for myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am basically your textbook dirt poor college student. I'm looking to save money wherever I can while still travelling as much as possible. I also enjoy learning about the people and cultures of a place that I visit, and with couchsurfing I would be able to interact with natives as I also enjoyed and experienced new places.

Music: I listen to a little bit of everything, but I am partial to electronic and classical music

Movies: Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and 2

TV Shows: I love any comedy show, but I think Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite

Books: The Library at Mount Char, Heart of Darkness, and The Count of Monte Cristo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I kayaked with dolphins off of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. It was an incredible experience because the dolphins just played around while we were in the middle of the pod.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a few first aid skills that might be useful in a pinch, as well as some basic Judo.

I would love to learn about other languages and culture. That is one of the biggest draws for me to travel, and couchsurfing is a perfect way to interact with natives.

I would love to share in any sort of calm political discussion, about my country's politics, or those of any other country. Also, I love talking about the creatures under the sea, as well as any other animals. I have plenty of random facts that are waiting to be shared as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking, and would love to cook for anyone kind enought to host me. I also enjoy learning and talking about anything, and I would love to have a conversation about any interest, shared or otherwise!
