Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm wanting to attend the Beverly Hills Film Festival where one of my screenplays has been selected for, and I like the idea of not spending unnecessary hotel $ (I'm already spending 800 for one night in the hotel where the award gala will be. I also like the idea of meeting new people. I used to live in los angeles so some is familiar, but lots that isn't. I'd hope to stay with someone who doesn't mind showing me something cool that's new to me, good food, maybe music, etc. Drum circle on venice??
