Overview
About Me
I haven't used Couch Surfing in about a decade because life changed, but now life has changed again and I'm so happy Couch Surfing exists :D Several major life events have forced me into big picture mode. I love talking about life and philosophy (real philosophy, like how to live life).
I'm pursuing all the things I thought were cool when I was young and somehow lost track of, due to the silly games we think are important. I post my hobby art on my insta: https://www.instagram.com/wiser2k1/
I lived in Beijing, China from 2007 to 2017, and I'm back in Toronto, Canada now. I can talk a LOT about China. I speak Mandarin fluently. I was married and divorced there. I still work for a company in Beijing, on China time, so I'm a night owl here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing represents the pay-it-forward attitude I love that is very rare nowadays. I'm not very experienced on here however. I hosted a few times in Beijing, and I've been hosted once before. All have been positive experiences. I've made friends in several places through Couchsurfing in the past as well but haven't been traveling lately. That's changing and I'm looking to meet new people again.
Interests
I'm learning to become a 3D generalist, basically learning to do CGI and VFX to make cool videos and interactive experiences. I mostly use Blender and Adobe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba diving in The Perhentians was magical - I got to swim with a huge tortoise for 10 minutes! Watched him/her nibbling on some poor soft coral, but alas, that is life. The seabed was littered with hundreds of sea cucumbers. It was the most peaceful place I've ever been.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm energetic and always up for seeing the city - I love to dine and see the night life and engage in culture, however that may be. Generally not by 'watching opera' but rather seeing real life.
