With a passion for understanding the processes of the world and for cultural emergence, I am studying mechanical engineering and German at Kansas State University. In the future, I hope to connect these two skills in order to work across the world and aid those in need.

Having been born to an army officer and a hardworking nurse, I have been raised by paradigm role models. They taught me to appreciate what I've been given and to do the best I can at all that I do. That is why I always tell friends and family that I always will be proud as long as they do the best they can in all things. This personal statement is what helped me through childhood obesity and put me on the path to being where I am today.

Throughout my life I have been actively engaged in my church's ministries as well as through school sports. These passions have carried over into my college career where I attend "Christian Challenge", a youth ministry here on campus, as well as spend a lot of free time lifting weights and running. The rest of my time that isn't spent doing tedious engineering homework, I spend with friends which truly is the most memorable experiences of college.

I have a passion for traveling and for cultural emergence. I hope that through couchsurfing, I can meet incredible people across the world and learn from their lives. There is an infinite sea of knowledge right at our fingertips if we can only reach it.

Interests

I love to cook! I am currently defining my Kansas City barbecue skills and love to practice if you're willing to try it. I am also an active participant in country swing dance and would love to teach you how we dance here in Manhattan, KS.

I also enjoy watching movies and just hanging out. I love to eat out and try new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is a hard question, I am a lover of all good music, a definite user-defined quality. I listen to a variety of genres including country and alternative.

My favorite movies are most likely the Lord of the Rings. I love how one can get lost in that universe.

My favorite books are definitely not my engineering textbooks! But I love anything with a universe that is easy to drift off in.
