I was told by a traveller staying with me that I should expand my profile, so maybe I should. :) So 'ere we go.

I think of myself as a relaxed and social, but punctual and responsible person. I love to help, and that's the main reason I'm here at Couchsurfing as well. It makes me glad if I can help out a traveller and maybe get to know great people in the process. I have lived my life in Finland where I was born, but in May 2017 I moved to Aarhus for work. Two years later I returned, this time to Helsinki.

On my free time I do music and sports. I like visiting good restaurants and bars, but nightclubs not so much. If you want to go crazy in the night life, you might want to get company from someone else. :) That said, if you're up for a good wine, beer or a meal, I'm your guy! I haven't really had the time to experience the local restaurants in Helsinki yet, so I cannot give a huge number of recommendations, but I am interested in discovering together.

Beautiful places are of course nice to see while travelling, but I think the most interesting thing is talking to the people and learning their views and way of life. That's why I think it's great to stay with locals, even if I easily opt for a hotel myself. Sort of controversial, no? :) But that's just something very Finnish, I don't want to bother anyone's peace and quiet by crashing at their place. :) That having been said, I gladly host people, not least for the company and the experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish to expand my international network, and what better way than maybe help someone in the process. I never got to become an exchange student in the uni, so I make up for it by traveling and now maybe hosting people. :)
