My name is Zach. I am 26 years old. I am currently living in Denmark as I complete a masters degree in global history. I am originally from Seattle, Washington in the United States. I love to explore/travel. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people from around the world. My main interests and hobbies outside of traveling include exercise/ sport, reading, art, cooking, and spending time with anyone looking for new experiences and/or good conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couch-surfed before in order to 1. save money on traveling and 2. meeting new people. I especially enjoy meeting and making life long friends that can also visit me at some point. I have had a handful of friends that I meet on couch surfers visit me across the world after I had stayed with them.

I love all music. My favorite film is Forest Gump. My favorite books include 1984-George Orwell, Brave New World-Aldous Huxley, The Pillars of the Earth-Ken Follett, The Great Gatsby-F. Scott Fitzgerlad, The Kite Runner-Khaled Hosseini and anything dealing with sports, history, anthropology, and science.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done an extreme triathlon in Alaska. I am doing another this summer (2019) in Switzerland.

I am an open person and I would be grateful for anyone looking to host me in exchange for cooking, good conversation, or anything else within reason. If you are wanting a new friend that you too can someday stay or travel with, I am your guy. At the end of the day, I love to explore and experience new things with others.
