About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to travel the world and satisfy my never ending thirst for adventure, while at the same time, bringing a little piece of love and light into each place that I visit.

ABOUT ME

I am a fun loving, laid back, nature loving guy who likes a since of adventure in life. I love great food and good people. I love to travel. I am not afraid to tough it out on the cold, hard ground when necessary. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing culture. Learning and growing are my goals in life. I am currently a University student going into my sophomore year.

PHILOSOPHY

I am still creating a personal philosophy for myself. I am young and always making changes, but I know that I will continue to change for the rest of my life. Right now my philosophy is that I don't have all the time in the world, so I want to see as much and do as much as I can before that time runs out. Hopefully I can leave a little piece of me everywhere I go, and a little piece of light and love.

Interests

Nature. Fresh scenery and rich atmosphere are two things i love to experience. I also love new cultures. I love to eat new foods. I believe that one of the best ways to learn a culture is to learn their food. Comparative religion is a subject I greatly enjoy. I love to hear about other people's faiths and why they put so much bearing into them. I love animals and wild life. Outdoor activities are a big interest of mine. I love theme parks, beaches, national monuments, national parks, wildlife reserves, zoos, aquariums, historical sites, famous cafes, and spiritually uplifting scenery.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can watch pretty much anything that has an intellectual basis. I love almost any kind of music depending on my mood. My favorite book is The Awakening by Kate Chopin, but I read a little bit of everything when I get the chance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I enjoyed my trip to Niagara Falls. I don't think I have ever seen a waterfall that large before, let alone a waterfall at all. Coming from a small town in Oklahoma, seeing anything other than a lake is a treat for me. I will say though, the Canadian side of the falls was far better than the American side as far as activities as places to eat/shop. The American side was a bit dreary and lulled by the sound of the falls, but charming nonetheless.
I also thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Fort Myers, Florida and the Everglades. I loved seeing my reptilian friends in such close vicinity. The landscape was absolutely beautiful, with mangrove and swampland hard-wood forests abundant. One of the most fascinating parts of the trip was the cultural exchange between my family and the Seminole Indians of the area. The swamp tour we took was contracted on the national Seminole reserve, and let me tell you, they run things down there. Our tour guide was afraid to even tell us about the local herbal lore due to tribal laws banning anyone who is not of Seminole blood from knowing the local herb lore. Of course the beaches at Point Estero in Fort Myers were phenomenal. If you could picture the pristine, white sand beaches, and clear blue waters that travel companies display on their brochures, then you would have a pretty good idea of what Point Estero is all about. This was the first trip I had ever experienced a warm water beach or a beach movie theater. The culture was exciting and just the style that many college students long for. Relaxing on the beach during the mid to early mornings, dining on some of the freshest seafood in Southern Florida during lunch, and enjoying the warm breeze during the night are just part of the local culture. Everyone heads inside around 3-6 p.m. though because that's when it's time for a daily storm, which is perfect for a family dinner and finding time to do those boring household chores.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I am still pretty young, so I don't have any real practical skills I can teach anyone other than how to survive on a college budget. I read Tarot Cards, if anyone is interested in that, but I am still learning these myself. I would love to learn anything form anyone who can take the time out to teach me.
