ABOUT ME

So, where do we begin? I'm a graduate of Arizona State University. I used to live in Madrid, where I taught English to children in years 5 and 6 while learning on Spanish along the way. I'm a huge Disney fan, and used to work some of the rides at both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. Interacting with guests from all over the world and being able to create magic for them every day made me question whether I really wanted to limit myself to only the United States.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is way too short to be a jerk to people who haven't done anything to you. Life is also too short to not laugh silently at the stupid things some people do, including yourself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any couchsurfing experiences yet, but I'd love to be more involved with the community based on what I've heard.

Interessen

I was pretty much born with a library card in my hand. I could probably spend the rest of my days reading. I also enjoy going out to new places and finding games to play with strangers. Of course, there will be days when I want to do nothing but go on the internet and learn about new things. Or watch mindless videos/television series. Depends on the day, really.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

1. The first time I saw snow fall, in Spain. It's a common sight for many people, but for somebody who has never lived in a place where it snows, I was amazed.

2. One slow night, when I was working at Disney World, at the entrance to Space Mountain, I saw a bride approach, still in her poofy pink wedding dress. I saw that she had a "Just Married" button on, and handed her the phone, where Mickey and Minnie had a special message just for her. While she was listening, I pulled out a few magic fastpasses that would let her use the express lines at any attraction in Magic Kingdom. I gave them to her, and she immediately threw her arms around me and kissed me on the cheek in gratitude. I knew, right then, that I really did work at the place where dreams can come true.
