Overview
About Me
I'm a 33 year old graphic designer at the brink of making a huge change in my life. my graphic design career has been unfulfilling, so I am going unemployed for seven months while I pursue an education in web applications development in an entirely new city. I have a bit of social anxiety, and I'm hoping to become a bit more comfortable with others through facing that. I love having mind-expanding conversations with good friends, and I love solving problems.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing, at this point, to try to reduce the financial burden on my wife while I am away, as well as to meet some incredible people, mutually benefit from each other, and provide company on adventures!
Interests
I am deeply interested in self improvement through reading and application of new ideas (scientific as well as untested), as well as the more physical side of that - lifting weights. In Indiana, there isn't much exciting hiking to do, so I'm interested in doing a lot of that on weekends, as well as hopefully some cycling and rollerblading.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Sci Fi movies and books, especially dystopia and post-apocalypse.
as far as music goes, I love metal and jazz/fusion, especially some of the more progressive or avant-garde varieties. Kayo Dot, Between the Buried and Me, Isis, The Mars Volta, Wolves in the Throne Room are some of my heavier favorites. on the Jazz/fusion end, I love Seven Impale and Merkabah.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a kitchen up from an empty room. plumbing, framing, drywall, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, electrical, all of it!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my deep knowledge and love of music. I can teach basic home maintenance, if you provide tools. I would love to learn more about meditation styles and techniques.
