About Me
CURRENT MISSION
impossible.
ABOUT ME
I'm an animator. Interested in all the strange parts of life, but the beautifully simple ones too. I'm generally pretty mellow, unless I get all worked up about a story or something. I'm self-sufficient; love to meet people, but I generally prefer to travel alone. Currently on a study-abroad, reaching the end of my BFA.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm super interested in phenomenology. Ask me about it, if you want. It's great stuff.
Interests
I like film, animation, and art of all kinds.
Some of my favorite Animators are Yuri Norstein, Harry Smith (bizzare guy), Don Hertzfeldt, and Bill Plympton.
And good 'ol regular Animation;
Home Movies, Archer, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, The Simpsons, and the like.
Love it.
I like music too, but I'm a crap musician honestly.
I like technology... love the natural world. You could say I'm some sort of hippy/sci-fi nerd hybrid
(sounds like it would come with special powers. That'll happen someday... I'm sure.)
I enjoy learning... it seems like I can't really settle my ambitions sometimes.
I like being lost. Particularly in mountain-dwelling forests. But the sea has just as much of an attraction to me. I have yet to get sea sick.

Music, Movies, and Books
The last book that I read was fierce invalids home from hot climates by Tom Robbins, and before that it was Slouching Towards Nirvana by Charles Bukowski.
A couple of my favorite books are Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, and Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides.
I also read alot of theory; especially New Media theory. I really enjoy explaining what I've learned.
One of my favorite animations of all time is Tale of Tale by Yuri Norstein. I'm also a huge Don Hertzfeldt fan. The Triplets of Bellville, Castle in the Sky, and James and The Giant Peach are awesome Feature Animations too ('s been a long time since I saw Giant Peach though).
Movies change all the time... but Kung Fu Hustle is damn hilarious... and I thought Lars Von Trier's Melancholia had some prime cinematography.
Have to admit, I was raised on starwars. It's really best to just ask me about this one... lots of answers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On the top of a mountain in The Arctic Valley, Alaska; an abandoned nuclear missile launch site has been deteriorating since the cold war.
After a relatively short hike, I slipped in through the massive barbed wire fence that surrounds it and explored.
It was haunting, and mysterious. I found cavernous concrete atriums, mysterious underground rooms filled with water, and stairs leading underground so far that the darkness seemed to swallow the light.
Ask me about it! I have pictures ;).
