Hey. Im Zack, 27 years old.

British. Recently moved to New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa. This will be my third WHV after living in Australia in 2017 and Canada 2020-2022. In between these visas I have also travelled to a number of places in Europe as well as spending 4 months backpacking through Mexico at the beginning of 2022. Despite all of this I am still relatively new to Couchsurfing but have found it to be an amazing tool to meet fun locals and friends who I still speak to today.

... Not only has CS given me the opportunity to stay with people who have shared their local knowledge of the more off the beaten track sights; it has given me the opportunity to meet their friends, taste their foods, help look after their homes/pets, listen to their stories etc.
Other than staying with local hosts I have been to CouchSurfing meet ups of 150+ people in Mexico City, been on hikes with other travelers, connected with fellow travelers wherever our paths crossed, hired cars and road tripped with travelers in Australia. These opportunities are everywhere on this website and im so glad that it exists.
