About Me

I am originally from Afghanistan. My family and I have lived in Germany for a few years. Last year we moved to the Bonn area because of my new job. I work in the public sector in Bonn. My wife works in the medical field. We live here with our two sons, aged 12 and 5. We enjoy the city and its rhythm. When we find time, we walk by the Rhein and stop for coffee or a beer.

My earlier life followed a different path. I spent many years working with humanitarian aid agencies. I traveled through different regions and worked with people who shaped my sense of community. I left Afghanistan in late 2021 and started a new chapter in Germany. During this time I was not active in the Couchsurfing community, but I stayed connected where possible.

I joined Couchsurfing in 2012. I value the community because it gave me strong opportunities to meet people from many countries. Some of these contacts grew into long friendships. We stay in touch, even now.
Travel is limited for me at the moment. I stay active through local meetings and cultural exchange events. I enjoy meeting Couchsurfers from different backgrounds. I like simple, meaningful conversations about work, culture, and your travel experiences.
