i’m an 18yrs old living in gatineau, canada. im in my second year of studies in graphic design at the collegiate level but i wanna transition into fashion. i work as a barista at second cup and photography is one of my hobbies. i love talking about stuff that relates to any form of creativity. music, poetry and visual arts are my two favorites but i love hearing people tell me about what inspires them. it kind of relates to one of my personal philosophies: the books we read, the movies we watch and the music we listen to is what defines us all. our art is the purest form of our identity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

during my first ever trip i met a lot of other travellers from many different countries and it really opened my eyes to how amazing people can be. we all found so much in common between eachother even though we lived such different lives at home. it deeply affected my view on people. i discovered couch surfing through some of them and i think this might be a great way to meet people and continue on this journey of mine to make friends far and wide.

Interests

i love photography, specifically street photography and portraiture. i often go on walks in random walks to find beauty in places id normally overlook. aside from that, i spend huge amounts of time listening to music. i like music that either make me feel certain types of way or that communicate ideas and stories that i can relate to. sometimes i feel like artists know how i feel better than i do myself so its my way of figuring myself out sometimes haha

Music, Movies, and Books

music: phony ppl/blood orange/frank ocean is what is in my daily playlist in recent times but i appreciate anything with some sort of melody. in the past, ive been attracted to classic rock, soul, 80s r&b, new wave, 90s-present hiphop. books: perks of being a wallflower, everyday and the alchemist are my three favorite books but i have a looooong reading list waiting for me at home. movies: perks of being a wallflower again, the batman trilogy, inception, wolf of wall street, catch me if you can, harry potter, i really wanna watch forrest gump one day but can never find the time. oh and all the classic childrens disney movies like the lion king or mulan!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i dont think ive ever done anythin objectively amazing but i think im pretty proud of the general course my life has taken. ive been pretty blessed throughout my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

i guess i could teach some basics in french and also anything that has to do with photoshop, illustrator, basic coding, photography and i also have a pretty decent knowledge on coffee. ask me about it all!

What I Can Share with Hosts

any small services like chores, i can run errands. i can work my way around photoshop/illustrator and html/css as well. im sure we can figure things out. im always quick to say yes! and of course i have my company to share as well! im not on couchsurfing just to find a place to stay and completely ignore my hosts, my biggest goal is to make friends!
