About Me
Hi there!
I’m Zaid — a Palestinian-Egyptian born in Egypt and raised in Palestine. I’m passionate about technology, 3D printing, and DIY projects. I love building things from scratch, especially when they solve real problems or make life a bit more interesting.
Music is always around me, and I enjoy a good talk over coffee about anything from tech to philosophy to random life stories.
I’ve been living in Ramallah for almost nine years now — it’s a city full of energy, contradictions, and creativity, and I’ve grown to love its vibe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe in exchanging experiences, not just accommodations. Couchsurfing connects people who think differently but share curiosity — and I really like that. Whether I’m hosting or traveling, I enjoy meeting people who inspire me to look at the world from a new angle.
Interests
I’m always building or tinkering with something — from 3D printers and smart home devices to small mechanical experiments. I like learning how things work and figuring out how to make them better. I’m also into exploring local art and design scenes and understanding how people in different places approach creativity.

Music, Movies, and Books
My playlist jumps from old-school rock to electronic to Arabic indie stuff.
I read anything that mixes tech, philosophy, and human stories.
Movies? Anything thought-provoking or visually creative — sci-fi, thrillers, and good documentaries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I designed and built my own 3D printer from scratch — it started as a weekend project and turned into a full machine that actually works. Seeing something you imagined take physical shape layer by layer is a strange kind of magic.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the basics of 3D printing, how to design or prototype an idea, or how to set up simple home automation projects.
I’d love to learn more about local crafts, cultures, and how people approach design and problem-solving in different parts of the world.
And I’m always up for sharing travel stories, tech knowledge, or just a chill evening with good music and conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, real conversation, and a helping hand with tech or creative stuff. I’m tidy, respectful, and like to contribute — whether that’s fixing something small, cooking a simple meal together, or sharing knowledge.
