Quiet, self reliant, solitary, hobby photographer, kooky collector, caring and restful. Love baking, animals, pasta and the occasional bad sketching.

PHILOSOPHY

Well I might use this section to tell you about some things to do near me. There are cheap movies daily at South Bank cinemas, around $8.50. At Davies Park in West End there are fresh produce/clothes/craft markets every Saturday from 6am-12pm. I'm about 25 minutes walk from the Cultural Centre where you can look at the exhibits at the museum, modern and traditional art galleries and the state library. Take a free swim at the fake beach at South Bank. Check out the vibrant community feel of Boundary Street, West End where there is plenty to eat and lots of quirky shops and hidden bookstores. www.ourbrisbane.com has a great event search for general activities, a lot which are free and family oriented.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Having travelled a few times this year one of the most important things I learned was how precious some personal space was. You can do internet, journal, sorting, planning in a cafe, on the street or in the park but there is nothing like lounging in your own bed in a room with a door without people all around you. The feedback I have got is how much other people have appreciated that for at least one or two days, they have a wonderful timeout here where they can relax and have plenty of space to sort through all their things.
