Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm Zakarya, from Afghanistan.
A country that has unfortunately been
caught in many internal and external
conflicts over the years, and I've
witnessed a history full of crisis. On
August 15, 2022, after the fall of the
central government and the takeover
of Afghanistan by the Taliban, life for
me and many of my fellow countrymen
dramatically changed. Seeking better
opportunities and improvement, I
migrated to different countries
I have lived in countries like Pakistan,
Iran, and Turkey, sometimes legally and
sometimes illegally, and in each place,
tried to learn from various cultures,
experiences, and lessons. I have been
living in Germany for the past few years
now, and I embrace new experiences
and meeting new people with open
arms.
For me, human rights and individual
freedoms have always been of great
importance. I believe in freedom of
speech, freedom of religion, gender
equality, and respect for all religions
and minorities. I respect everyone
regardless of race, gender, or sexual
orientation. I also believe that LGBTQ+
groups are just as deserving of respect,
as their sexual preferences come from
the natural essence of who they are.
live life with enthusiasm. Being
happy and making others happy is very
important to me. Learning and teaching
have helped me grow and understand
life in a deeper way. That's why I'm
always open to finding new experiences
meeting different people, and forming
real, honest connections.
In the end, I truly believe in peace and
kindness and think the greatest gift
we can give each other is to be seen,
heard, and understood. Nothing is more
valuable than feeling truly recognized in
this vast world.
So, if you're also seeking peace, real
connections, and mutual understanding
I'm ready to travel this journey with you.
Feel free to reach out anytime for a chat
and to get to know each other better.😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I love
connecting with people from all over
the world. It's a beautiful way to build
friendships, share cultures, and learn
from each other. I believe that meeting
locals or fellow travellers give travel
a much deeper meaning - it's not just
about places, but the people you meet
along the way.
Staying with locals allows me to
experience destinations more
authentically, discover hidden gems, and
understand different customs and ways
of life. I also enjoy hosting travellers
hearing their stories, and offering a
warm place to stay - just like I'd hope to
find when l'm travelling
Of course, Couchsurfing is also great
for saving money, but for me, the real
value is in the cultural exchange, and the
sense of community. I enjoy being part
of a global network that's built on trust,
openness, and kindness. Whether l'm a
guest or a host, I always look forward to
meaningful conversations and shared
experiences.
For me, Couchsurfing isn't just about
saving money or finding a place to sleep
- it's a beautiful way to meet interesting
people, share cultures, and build real
human connections. I love getting to
know locals and travelers, hearing their
stories, and seeing life through their
perspective.
Whether I'm hosting or surfing, I enjoy
being part of a global community that's
built on trust, kindness, and open minds.
That feeling of being welcome anywhere
in the world - it's something really
special.
I'm a social person, easygoing, and
curious. I enjoy deep conversations,
shared laughs, and even those peaceful
quiet moments with good people.
And honestly, if along the way I meet
someone who I vibe with on a deeper
level - someone kind, funny, open - l'm
not closed to something more than just
friendship. l'm open to what life brings.
So, if you're also into meaningful
conversations, walks through the
city, spontaneous adventures, or just
enjoying a drink and getting to know
each other -I'd love to connect.😊

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Of course, I have many experiences and memories since childhood. Because there was always war in my country and I grew up in immigration. Here I want to write for you briefly one of the memories that was very difficult, but it made me progress in life compared to the people around me. A few years ago, I lived in Iran and was deported to Afghanistan. I got a job in Aja and got accepted to the university. I decided to live in Afghanistan forever. After a few months, the security situation in Afghanistan deteriorated. So that I myself witnessed several big bomb explosions and assassinations of people. This caused me to travel to Iran again illegally. At that time, my family lived in Iran. But I could not work because I did not have a legal residence in Iran. Finally I had to. With very little money equivalent to 50 or 60 dollars, without passport and visa, very unexpectedly, I said goodbye to my mother. And at night I went to the Turkish border by bus. And from there, on foot for several days, carrying a few tins of canned food, bread and some chocolate, you have to go through mountains, valleys, forests, marshes, rivers, heavy rains, dark weather, minefields, barbed wires, walls. border, wild animals, unfamiliar area, hunger, fatigue, sleeplessness, on one side of the Iranian police, and on the other side of Turkey, as well as mafia groups across the border, and while we were sometimes shot at, we crossed the border. And we entered Turkey secretly with wet clothes full of mud. As I said before, I didn't have enough money to travel and I had to stay and work in Van province of Turkey for some time. I lived in Turkey for two years and of course many things happened to me there and I gained many experiences. All these adventures made me very interested in traveling today and I feel very strong. Thanks for reading . to be continued.............................................. .
