Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
travelling around the east coast, the south, and the west coast in search of countercommunities
ABOUT ME
I am a queer boy who has recently left my job at the birth control/STD clinic in CT in order to travel around the country for a while to explore new places and meet new people, with the goal of finding a place to call home for a few years, if not longer! Aiming to be in Northern CA or further north by some point in summer 2014.
PHILOSOPHY
consensus and open reciprocal communication are the keys to changing the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
although I have hardly used the couchsurfing website before, I have traveled a bunch and have had the good fortune to be hosted by many friendly folks. I am very low-maintenance. I love to cook so I really want to cook a vegetarian/vegan meal or two for anyone who can host me!
I have also hosted many visitors on my various couches and beds over the years. I am perhaps a little too trusting and have let some pretty sketchy people stay at my place before and nothing bad has ever happened!

Music, Movies, and Books
I hate this section of websites, but here's a taste:
Movies: documentaries (Small Town Gay Bar, Black Power Mixtape, The Wild Wonderful Whites of West Virginia, and Whore's Glory are some recent favorites); Thelma & Louise, 9 to 5, I <3 Huckabees, Born in Flames, District 9, Waking Life
Music: Punk (hardcore, pop punk, queercore, anything out of CT), RnB/soul, disco, old skool female hip hop, synthpop, new wave, electroclash, trip hop
Books: mostly non-fiction - ethnography, manifestos... favorite fiction of late is The Dispossessed by Ursula LeGuin, and The Lamentable Journey of Omaha Bigelow into the Impenetrable Loisaida Jungle by Edgardo Vega Yunque
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen the bravery of hundreds of people confronting an unjust system and a violent police state. I have seen some wild nude gatherings both indoors and out. I have seen seagulls fight over fried chicken as the sun sets over the toxic harbor.
