BOOKS - I've always read a lot of fantasy, favourites include the "Kingkiller Chronicles" by Patrick Rothfuss and "Gentlemen Bastards" by Scott Lynch. Lately I've been branching out into non-fiction, especially reading about ethnobotany of various regions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm, this is tough. I've been very fortunate to have the chance to travel some incredible landscapes and be inspired by the beauty of life.

I would say that one such adventure to Haida Gwaii was amazing. I'd never before felt as connected to the non-human world as I did that trip. Incredible thousand year old forest meeting white sand beaches studded with ancient rocks, without a single person in sight. Every moment I was conscious of the implausible beauty of my surroundings. That experience really changed my view on relating to the world around me - I think it took that supreme beauty to open my eyes to the wonders around me. Now I'll spend 15 minutes staring at a clump of moss with my magnifying glass
