Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to stay with other couch surfers when I am traveling. However, when I am staying put I return the kindness by hosting others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the past two years I have met some incredible people through couch surfing. On my way to Nova Scotia I stayed with a couple of couch surfers. One was in Quebec City, who put me up for three nights and spent his free time showing my friend and me the city. On my trip to Calgary this past March I met up with some other couch surfers who took me around, and invited me over for dinner. I also had a great time with a couch surfer when visiting Vancouver this past summer. All my couch surfing experiences have been wonderful and I hope to have many more to come.

Interests

Camping, canoeing, hiking,white water rafting, hand drumming, exploring the outdoors, being environmentally conscious, playing ultimate, dancing and doing yoga. Getting involved with community theatre. Traveling the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading books and watching movies that make me think. I like all sorts of music especially if I can dance to it. But I have always had a soft spot for African music.

One of my favorite books is the Poison Wood Bible.

* Sailing down the Nile

* Playing in the huge trees at Cathedral Grove, Vancouver Island

* Whale watching off of Vancouver Island

* Hiking in Cape Breton, and Cape Split

* White water rafting on the Zambezi near Victoria Falls.

* Feeling the mist come off Victoria Falls onto my face.

* Canoeing with the Hippos and the Crocodiles

* Seeing the sun set over the Mediterranean when traveling in Israel
