Overview
About Me
I suppose my two great loves in life are philosophy and traveling—two things which I see as very similar even if outwardly very different. Exploring and learning. Over the past year or so I’ve developed a love for Islamic cultures and am currently traveling through Iran before moving to Cairo to study Arabic.
I like traveling at a slow pace, wandering around and getting lost but always making sure to visit archaic and religious sites.
My native languages are English and Dutch but I also speak some French and German, and am learning Persian and Arabic.

Music, Movies, and Books
As much as I’ve moved away from my native American culture, I’ve always maintained a love for American rock, blues, and folk. I also love classical music and the musics of various other cultures.
Any classic work of philosophy or literature will likely catch my interest. My main interests these days are in ancient and medieval philosophy.
Really, I’m not too specific. I just love anything beautiful.
