ABOUT ME

I lived in New Zealand for two years... I love that place, the positive people, great nature, wonderful hikes. I mostly stayed at farms as a wwoofer. In remote area's and also in Wellington. Now back in Europe, with it's own charms... I'm focusing on making animation film again.

I live in an community in an old monastery in the east of the Netherlands. This house project started in the 80's and now it's a very well maintained and organized collective home for around 90 people. All kinds of people live here, young old, small families, elderly, students and middle-aged. Most people here try to live with a small footprint. One more thing we have in common is that (to a certain extend:) we like sharing and being open to to each other. I share my kitchen and bathroom with two friends and their 2 year old son. We enjoy living like this a lot. We have a big veggie and herb garden, beehives, we have a protected forest area on our property, chicken. The last 2.5 years we had a babyboom!

Like I mentioned, I make animation film. This is such an inexhaustible joy to do for me. Just the fact that you can create something thats alive from making still images and stage everything like you want it. Making the sets and props is also one of the aspects I really like. I feel fortunate to have this as my job.

I am a modest, open minded and optimistic person. I enjoy being on my own a lot. But I also enjoy the company of fellow people. Fascinating how everyone is so different, communicates in a different way and yet everyone has the same core needs and nature.

I am easily inspired by the beauties of life, taking life as a game...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is a beautiful way of joining in each others life on this planet. To get your mind opened to different ways. To give each other our personal experience of the place we know best.

Interests

Climbing, aerial work, trapeze, tissu, yoga, learning and motivated... bike polo ;) Gardening. Animation... and I'm learning to play the harmonica. Sustainable living. Equality of people rights.
