Hi! I am Zarja and in september I am going to travel a bit around Spain with my boyfriend Jaka (the one on the profile picture:))

About me:
I am an architecture student from Slovenia and love exploring and travelling. I love meeting new people and exploring different cultures. I enjoy hiking in the mountains, tour skiing and especially climbing, which I have been doing most of my life. Besides enjoying nature I am a very creative person and love doing different art forms such as sewing, crotcheting, photography and designing.

About Jaka:
I study computer science and math in Slovenia. I enjoy playing tennis and climbing. I love reading books, my favorite book right now is Dune. Currently I am reading lotr. Things I would like to do: learn how to fish and play guitar (hell yeahh)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting local people in the places I visit because I think that’s the best way to truly get to know a city and feel the vibe of its culture. Couchsurfing has introduced me to so many cool and interesting people; it’s changed the way I look at traveling and helped me live life to the fullest. As one of the friends I made through Couchsurfing said: This is the good side of the internet!:)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to whatever brings me joy at the moment and can resonate with my feelings. At the moment I listen the most to The Smashing Pumpkins, TV Girl and Doechii.
There are too many books to list here, but my two all time favourite books are Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and The Picture or Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.
The same goes for movies, but my all time favourite are The Truman Show and Paris, Texas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled alone for the first time in September 2024, stepping out of my comfort zone and it was one of the best experiences I've had!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am also a climbing instructor so we can go climbing!
Since Jaka and I have started dating we discovered our passion in cooking and would like to try your local foods and cook them together or we could show you some of our favourite dishes.
