ABOUT ME

very independent. stubborn, at times. very passionate. like to talk a lot, and have hot debates (politics being my favorite topic).
cheerful and smiling (except early in the morning - before coffee), always willing to go out, always thrilled to improvise week ends or short trips anywhere. never get much sleep, i like to go to bed very late, and i also like to get up in the morning to enjoy the day so...that's my everyday dilemma !
i assume it's a cliche to say that i love meeting new people and discovering new places(new cities or a new restaurant around the corner), but it is true ! i just bond easily with people - whatever their social backgrounds, whatever their native country. and i hope i will never get enough of that, i hope i'll never cease being curious.
my closest friends would add that i can be grumpy and moody and touchy, and i'm sure there would be many more things to say, but for now, that'll do. enough of me.

just a regular member among a crowd of couchsurfers, i guess ! secretly hoping my contribution will help this network to become the most popular way of travelling within a few decades (months?)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

this is brand new for me but when i read about the concept in an article in a french newspaper a few months ago, i got really excited about it ; i think it's simply brilliant coz there's no better way to discover a place than to be guided by locals.
once very good experience so far (out of one!) : two crazy cats from winnipeg stayed a week end on my couch and we attended a few weird/beautiful parties. lots of fun.
can't wait for more !

i like directors more than particular movies - i like their world, atmospheres/certain ways of writing : tarantino,jim jarmush, kusturica, wong kar wai,inarritu, milos forman, stanley kubrick, fellini, terry gilliam, ...
+ paprika, old boy, lost in translation, the bubble, life of others

music : hmm mostly trip-hop and soft rock ie au revoir simone, babyshambles, the libertines, the strokes, interpol, justice, nada surf, morcheeba, the fratellis, the dandy warhols, bloc party, asian dub foundation, cat power, arctic monkeys, radiohead,belle and sebastian, elliott smith, cocorosie, cocteau twins, the cure.
and the classics : nina simone, otis redding, janis joplin, joan baez, neil young, david bowie, prince, lou reed.

books : to sum up very briefly = all the russian literature (mainly pouchkine, tourgueniev, gogol);i love contemporary american authors like delillo, paul auster, easton ellis.
