Update : sorry, prefer hosting fully vaccinated guests
I sold my house, bought an apartment next to The Hague Central Station, perfect location to discover the city...
Only 1 room for guests now, can sleep 2, maybe host 4 in Living Room
A long term resident of The Hague, 5 min walk from City Center, 3 km to Beach in Scheveningen...
My apartment is next door to Centraal Station, easy for train and Flixbus travellers .
9x Burner, going again in 2022 !!!
Burning Man yeah, my other Home...
Make sure your profile is attractive and PERSONAL, you should have several photos of your self and traveling partners.
Make sure your travel partner(s) have a CS Profile as well !!!
No photo, no chance.
My work ( though semi-retired by choice) requires a great deal of traveling.
However I do try to host as many people as possible whenever I am in town.
********Dirty dishes prove I feed my family, full trash cans means I clean up after their messes, messy floors mean I let my children have fun, piles of laundry mean I keep my family in clean clothes, wet bathroom means I bathe my kids! So the next time you walk into my house and see a "mess" think twice before you judge. If you come over to see us, come on in... if you are coming over to see my house, please make an appointment. Keep this going if you're a parent.. :)

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I have learned so much from my mistakes...
yes, thinking of making a few more !!!
Do not agree with YOLO ( You Only Live Once )
I prefer : you live EVERYDAY and die only once.
I want to die young as late as possible ... !
Yes, so many people die when they are 25...., but are not buried until they are 75.
Think about that.
Is that you ?
If you do not like where you are, then change it !
You are not a tree !!!
Write a good request please : NO COPY / PASTE !!!
Now : if you request to stay at my place make SURE that you ALL have a CS Profile !!!
ALL of you.
And please, I hate it when I get a request with " Me and my friend...."
Please tell me if your friend is a HE or SHE, tell me HIS/HER CS Profile.
I love to help, but you must put yourself in position of your host !!!
Looking forward to meet you ALL !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
when you request to stay with me :
********* Make your request personal, not copy/paste.
Yes, you will have a free place to stay, but I want you to show interest in meeting me as well.
So : NO copy/paste request !!!
*** Make sure all requesting to stay have a CS Profile with picture(s) and sent me link to all that want to stay.
*** Please make sure you add my name in request (hint : it is NOT Zebra , but read some references)
Yes, I host often ( more then 3000) , but only those that are genuine couchsurfers...!!!
It's called a "stay" because the experience will never leave you... !!!
I maintain COUCHsurfing and CROWDsurfing are basically the same thing — you're falling into the audience and you're trusting each other.
If you are just looking for a free place to stay, then you have not understood the meaning of CouchSurfing: please try your luck elsewhere.
Always have a Plan B ...
I hope to learn a little about you, about your country etc, in exchange I will be happy to open my house for you...
I have organized several dinners at our home, even more than 30 house concerts: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=89472&id=1650992366&l=a54b42fe89
I love CouchSurfing as a human community, as an inspiring experience.
The only problem that I have with couchsurfing, is that I keep falling in love with my guests CSers.
Not in a sexual sort of way, just in a "WOW, what an amazing and wonderful person, I want to spend 10 more hours / days with him/her" sort of way.
And then, in a day, or a week, they are out of my life and move on to their next adventure.
Never to be seen again.
I tell it like it is because I don't know any other way to be. I am a bit shy, and can act a bit crazy when out having fun with friends.
If you embarass easily, do not take me out in public! Haha
Sarcasm is my 2nd language...
I love, with every fiber of my being. I have more passion than almost anyone you will meet.
I always answer every request.
Listen to Casey telling the Couchsurfing story :
I enjoy spending time with my children. But they are out of the house now.
Playing tennis ( if you like to play I can take you to my beautiful and historic tennis club), lively conversations, eating Japanese and Mediterranean food, modern architecture and art.
I like to learn to cook, so please teach me how to make your favorite dish !
I will provide wine and do the dishes... ;-)
