Overview
About Me
I love sharing my home and connecting with people from different parts of the world. Couchsurfing allows me to exchange cultures, stories, and perspectives, and to build meaningful friendships beyond borders.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and exchanging cultures with people from different backgrounds. I truly enjoy hosting guests, as hospitality is a deep part of our culture in Ethiopia. We call it “Ye’Egziabher Engida,” which literally means “God’s Guest.” This tradition is rooted in ancient biblical history, inspired by Abraham’s guests, and it teaches us to welcome strangers with respect, generosity, and an open heart.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I’d be happy to take surfers on a gentle walk up to the panoramic Bezawit Hilltop, where we can enjoy stunning views of Lake Tana, the Blue Nile River, and the city below. I can also bike you along the Blue Nile to spot hippos in their natural habitat, and stroll through Bahir Dar to enjoy its charm, greenery, and lakeside atmospheres. To top it all off, I’ll take surfers to one of the best local coffee spots so we can sit together and enjoy a delicious Ethiopian coffee while sharing our stories and cultures.
