Getting out of my comfort zone!

ABOUT ME

I am very open-minded about people and the world in general, for which I blame my liberal arts education (in a good way). I have always been very curious about things that are unfamiliar to me, and that's where my love of traveling comes into play. At the same time, I am not naturally one to always step outside of my comfort zone, so I try to do that very consciously. I am vegan, mostly because I believe in compassionate living. Lastly, I believe in love. You know, the kind of love we should have for each other, friend or stranger.

PHILOSOPHY

I strongly believe in the connections we make with other people in this world. I believe that a higher being exists within and between people, that we each hold a little light of something bigger which connects us in an intangible way. Loving one another is at the heart of so many different religions in the world, and I think that has to tell us something important about the world we live in. It follows, then, that I also strongly believe in the value of helping others, whether in a very big or very small way, in our own city/state/country or another. What better way to fulfill that purpose than through CS!!

Getting involved with the CS meet-ups and events in NYC! No room for surfers right now, unfortunately.....

Interests

I love traveling (obviously?), running/being active, reading (anything), learning new things about different people, cultures and religions, cooking/baking, trying new vegan foods, big bowls of fresh fruit, and dogs. I love hearing other people's stories-where they have been, what they have done, what they hope to do.
