Hi!

My name is Zhanna. I was born in Russia, grew up in Western Ukraine and at the age of 21 relocated to New York. That is where I mainly currently reside at the moment. I also spend some time in L`viv where I have an apt.
I work as a Russian, Ukrainian and Polish translator/interpreter. I am also a self-taught visual artist. Besides this I write (blogs, Instagram comments and short stories) I love discovering new people, ideas and experiences through traveling around the globe. I love sharing my knowledge with others, so if you want to learn some of the languages I know, don`t hesitate and ask me to teach you! Besides this, I just adore my 4-year old daughter, chocolate croissants, classic books, techno music, simple but elegant clothes and good inspiring conversation over a cappuccino!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am couchsurfing not just because it is a financially more cost-efficient than renting through Airbnb. There is much more to it - I love socializing with different people and making new friends. My daughter also loves people and everybody loves her, of course! I love learning new things from others and exchanging the knowledge gained by me in my eventful life of almost 34 years ): I have travelled quite a bit already but planning to see more captivating countries in the near future together with my daughter.

Interessen

I love cinema, art museums and galleries, cafes and restaurants, book presentations, reading prose and poetry, translating, drawing, painting, playing with my daughter, hiking trips, night club outings etc. I love visiting new cities unexplored yet and meeting other creative people.
