Hi, I’m Simao. That’s my English name. I was born in China and I’m currently living here, studying art and design. At the same time, I also work part-time as an art teacher and a coach for sports programs at an organization.

I really enjoy doing things on my own and find a lot of peace in being by myself. I believe that as an adult, there are moments in life where it’s just you—where you have to face things alone. But that doesn’t mean I’m a closed-off person. I actually love having friendly conversations and meaningful exchanges with others. It’s through those conversations that I often discover things I didn’t know before.

When I travel, I think talking to local people and hearing their stories means more than just walking around taking pictures of the scenery or landmarks. To me, those interactions become memories that stick with me—and that’s actually one of the reasons I joined this platform

During the summer vacation at the age of 18, I worked as a short-term full-time teacher in an educational institution. Because the store manager and other colleagues encountered unexpected circumstances, I was left as the only person on duty. During that period, I single-handedly took on all the responsibilities of the branch, including marketing, organizing on-site activities, teaching courses, communicating with students and parents after class, and handling finance. For a full two weeks, I managed to sustain the operation of the entire branch on my own.
