About Me

Hey! I'm Zia. Basically, I'm a movement and rehab coach and a nutritionist, who's also super into exploring – whether it's a new city, a hiking trail, or just a good chat over tea. I'm all about finding balance: staying healthy, eating good food, and connecting with people. I get a real kick out of learning about different cultures and understanding what makes people tick.
Right now, I'm trying to learn Spanish, which is proving to be a fun challenge. So, if you happen to speak it, be prepared for some giggles!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I believe travel should be about connecting with people, not just seeing sights. I love the idea of experiencing a place through the eyes of someone who lives there. To me, Couchsurfing is about sharing stories, learning from each other, and making genuine connections. I'm looking to step outside the tourist bubble and really get to know a place.

Interests

Culture: They are living stories. Every tradition, dish, or piece of art tells you so much about how people see the world. There's so many ways to live! It keeps me from getting stuck in my own bubble.

Psychology: The human brain? It's wild. Why do we do the things we do? Figuring that out helps me understand myself, and other people, way better. It's having a cheat code for connecting with people. Plus, it helps me help my clients get their heads straight, not just their bodies.

Festivals And Techno: Pure energy. You just let go and feel the music. Amelie Lens, CamelPhat—they just get me moving. It's a moving meditation, a total release. It's just... fun.

History: I don't get how some people think history's boring. It's our story! Walking around old places, imagining what it was, makes you feel connected to something bigger. And it reminds you that what we do now matters.

Exploring And Tours: I'm a sucker for adventure. Wandering around a new place, getting a little lost, finding a cool little cafe—that's living! I love that feeling of 'what's around the corner?' It's way better than just sticking to the tourist traps.

Spirituality: Finding ways to connect with myself, and a higher power, is super important for me. It helps me stay grounded. And take on life's challenges.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything with a good story! American Beauty, Memoirs of a Geisha.

TV: I like a mix of lighthearted (Ted Lasso) and mind-bending (Game of Thrones).

Books: Anything that makes me think or improve, like Sapiens or Atomic Habits.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a personal challenge, I did a week long water fast, and it gave me a new perspective on diet and well-being. It taught me a lot about my body and mental resilience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:

Fitness And Wellness Tips: I can teach you simple and effective workout routines, stretching techniques, and tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Whether you're a fitness newbie or suffer from an injury, I can offer personalized advice.

Posture And Energy Boosters: I can provide quick tips and exercises to improve your posture and boost your energy levels throughout the day.

Learn:

Local Culture And Traditions: I'm eager to learn about your local customs, traditions, and hidden gems. Share your favorite spots and stories with me!

Your Perspective: I want to learn how you see the world, what your life experiences have been, and what you are passionate about.

Share:

Travel Stories And Experiences: I have a few travel stories to share, from spontaneous to cultural immersions.

My Passion for Music And Festivals: I can share my favorite techno tracks and festival experiences, and maybe even introduce you to some new music.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe a mini workout session or some stretching tips? Or just some advice on how to feel more energized.

Altough im no chef, I can definitely help out in the kitchen. Or help you design a meal plan.
