ABOUT ME

We jacked everything in, in England, having had enough of working for a corporate company and being a slave to the 9-9 let alone 9-5. Trying to experience as much of what life has to offer. Been planning a long travelling trip around south america for a very long time, finally paid off the student debt saved some money and went!

Want to do things differently where possible. Travelled around europe in 2009, Zak got his skippers license for sailing and chartered our 1st boat in Croatia for Garden Festival. Then set off sailing from Norway back in October '09 to the Caribbean however hit many storms and problems (including assisted rescue by lifeboat and helicopter!!) and only made it to Gran Canaria after 4 months on the boat and missed the Atlantic crossing :(

Ran out of time to make Carnaval in Rio to hook up with friends so unfortunately missed the goal of crossing an ocean. Travelled around South America for a year.

3 goals we have whilst here are to visit the Galapagos Islands (done), visit the Amazon (done) and learn Spanish - a dream to converse in another language...ongoing!!

Now decided to live in Sydney for a while and enjoy living in a warm country!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well learnt about the site in Colombia but surfed with people in Argentina all of them being amazing and lovely. It's a really cool way to meet people and look forward to perhaps sharing a couch with people in future, when possible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Asado at Pablo's house in Bariloche, met loads of lovely people including Rod who is now a good friend.

Surfed with Lucas for over a week in his lovely house and also his friends house for a few days after, both in Bariloche.

Surfed with a lovely family (Familia: Seguel Albornoz in Puerto Natalaes) only speaking Spanish which helped us loads!!! A few other places too.
