My current mission is to take the first tentative steps on the road to self discovery, and hitting the physical road seems like the best way to do that

ABOUT ME

writing these descriptions dont get any easier no matter how many you do. i am a 21 year old man/boy from the dead centre of england. ive just finished my third year of university and am in the midst of 'figuring out what to do with myself'. I have always wanted to travel but the idea of sitting in motel rooms on my own or hanging out in bars on my lonesome seemed kind of offputting. I read a lot and always wanted to write but im more of an ideas man than a following through on the actual writing man. i have the 1% inspiration, i just need to find all that perspiration i guess. I have a girlfriend who i care about very much and a family who are equally great. I'd say im kind of a person of two halves; the worrier who wants steadiness and money, and the dreamer that wants to wander the earth like a nomad. i suppose im at the crossroads at the moment and have no clue which is going to win out. Im betting on a continuation of the uneasy coexistence that has been the norm in these last few years. Mostly Im happy, but i kind of want to be tested and find out what im about. Too deep, or not deep enough?

PHILOSOPHY

my personal philosophy is to discover a personal philosophy. i guess im just looking for one of those epiphany moments when things slot into place. ill find it somewhere.

i am a newbie, so this particular section may take a little while to fill in. im looking forward to my first couch surfing experience. a lot.

Interests

i love music of almost all types, i like djing house/techno music but only when it doesnt take itself tooooooo seriously and listening to deerhunter and animal collective and late of the pier (at the moment). I read a lot, and hang out with my group of friends which seems to be getting smaller since ive finished uni. Im looking forward to going travelling when my bank balance looks less deathly.
