About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living my life, trying to get to know the world, the people, life, the universe and everything.
ABOUT ME
It's just me. Always looking out for someone to have a beer or a chat with, willing to share my point of view or getting new ones, hungry for experience and perhaps a bit on the run from - well, from what? I'll tell if I got away. Or if it got me. Til then, I'll enjoy my time on the road.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live. Now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
With a head start of some days, I'll try to arrange a sleeping place at my place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Call me ex-volunteer. As a EVS-volunteer I actually slept most of the time sleeping on a couch (whether it was my own or someone else's - volunteers are big time travellers). Or rather soviet-era armchairs. Still, it was fun and I fell in love eternally with Riga.
Interests
The world out there. Love seeing cities and people. And trying to improve things. Politics actually matter, they give a framework for our lifes, whether we like it or not. Thus im interested in whats going on - see my studies. Music - although I hilariously fail everytime I try to make some, I still enjoy listening and couldn't live without. And did I already mention people?

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: A bunch of german ones, rather from the funny side (Herr Lehmann, Neue Vahr Süd, Dorfpunks, Fleisch ist mein Gemüse). 1984 really impressed and influenced me, as did Berlin Alexanderplatz and Malte Laurids Brigge. Love Crime and Punishment as well. I liked Dry by Augusten Burroughs a lot as well. And so many others...
Music: A whole range there - from rock (System of a Down, Arctic Monkey, Kaiser Chiefs, Ãârzte, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Mando Diao) via reggae and ska (Gentleman, Sam Ragga Band, Ki Sap, Tiefenrausch, Les Cameleons) and some (few) kinds of Hip Hop and electronic stuff (Deichkind, Fettes Brot, M.I.A., Erykah Badu) to stuff I can't sort into any drawer (mono für alle, Les Ogres du Barback, Yann Tiersen, Manu Chao). Basicly I'ld say I have a taste for good music - but who wouldn't say that?
Movies: Lately: Into the wild. Made me want to travel even more! I like Tarantino movies a lot (especially Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown), enjoyed The Island, Das Experiment, Stalker and so many more I just can't remember now...
