ABOUT ME

In 2009 I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, Minnesota, and from then until the end of July 2011 I have worked as a language and cultural specialist, living and working with hispanic people teaching Spanish to children from across the country in El Lago del Bosque, a Spanish immersion program in the woods of northern Minnesota. Now it is time to start the next adventure in my life and try something completely different!

PHILOSOPHY

I think everyone is their own personal expert on how to live their lives, and if they listen to the voice within, they will always be guided.

This is all new to me, but I hope to participate in the immediate future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am 100% new to couchsurfing and am exploring the option now because a friend of mine said it´s a great way to meet new people, make connections, and find housing in other states and countries.

Interests

I love grammar and learning new words in any language. I love playing music, watching sunsets, being outside, cooking on occasion, getting up early, and reading a good book! I enjoy any opportunity to speak Spanish and learn about different cultures. I love expressing myself through music, playing the clarinet, flute, saxophone, and piano. I enjoy long walks and laughing through reading Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Harry Potter, LOTR, The Chronicles of Narnia, the movie Inception, and anything and everything Disney, and music- I like anything with a good beat, from Shakira to Phantom of the Opera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have celebrated the New Year in Chile, which boasts the second largest fireworks display in the world. Four cities simultaneously give a show that lasts a half an hour.
