About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible and to meet some lovely people!!!

ABOUT ME

Hello CS! I am currently living in Vietnam (HCMC) working as an English language teacher. I haven't changed my location because I'm a verified member at my UK address and I won't be in HCMC much longer, so apologies there!

I am looking to indulge in two of the most amazing things you can do, travelling and meeting nice, new people! I've hitch hiked twice, and I know that that sort of thing introduces you to new, and lovely people who are the best of humanity in their desire to help complete strangers. I love going out with my friends, doing new things, and reading (I did study literature after all!). I would love to talk to some experienced travellers and hear their stories.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it's important to try and live in other people's shoes, and be as friendly and generous to others so they have no reason not to return the favour!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed for the first time in 2011, in Vienna, which was an awesome experience, and would have in Amsterdam and Bruges as well if our phone hadn't run out of battery! I really admire the couchsurfing scene, but have been a bit out of it since my first go. Hopefully will rectify it soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I hitch hiked in 2010 to Morocco with two of my friends, we had an awesome experience meeting all sorts of people. It was funny because we were planning to camp most of the way, but our tent was ruined on the second night because of torrential rain in the North of France. One of my friends hadn't brought a sleeping bag and so lots of the people who gave us lifts donated blankets to him - it was really good of them! And then in Marrakesh itself, we stayed in the flat of a girl we met on the train, that was really lovely of her too.

Interests

I like reading and watching good films, but I also have really enjoyed some of the things I was introduced to at university, such as skydiving and belly dancing. I also love art, and have recently found a great hobby in doing henna tattoos on myself and my friends. I've also had a go at bungee jumping in the past and would love to do that, and other adrenaline sports again when I next have the chance!
