Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Zach. I'm a young American guy. My strengths are my weird humor (maybe also a weakness?), and a willingness to branch out (I always say I'll try anything twice), and a love for the outdoors. As a Computer Science major, though, I've learned to love the indoors as much as outside. I can be an introvert, but at the same time I really enjoy meeting new people. I love listening but I'll talk for hours about something I really enjoy, such as mountain biking, rock climbing, cars, and any topic about computing, especially ethical challenges or privacy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning on traveling more, and I'd love to kick it off by meeting new people for my summer trip to Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music tastes are pretty widespread. I'm not a huge fan of country or heavy metal but I'll listen to both if I'm in the right mood. Anything else is great. I really enjoy lo-fi and chill hip-hop and psychadelic rock for studying or relaxing, and indie or synth pop. Some of my favorite artists are Arctic Monkeys, The White Stripes, Electric Guest, Superorganism, Childish Gambino, Børns, and others.
I'm a fan of science fiction and fantasy movies, like Marvel movies, Star Wars, and Arrival, especially those with "realistic" elements such as Interstellar and the Martian. I'm a fan of Tarantino movies, such as Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, and Django Unchained. I like out-there movies too, like Baby Driver, Donnie Darko, and The Truman Show.
I don't read a lot of books, but the ones I do read are usually dystopian novels or ones that include thought dilemmas. The last book I read was The Circle, and I've always been a fan of I, Robot by Isaac Asimov.
