Overview
About Me
I graduated from the university of Edinburgh in summer 2015. Right now I'm working with an events company, with flexible working times that allow me to travel and experience new things. I'm in no rush to find a job in my degree field, as long as I'm happy doing what I'm doing.
Although I cannot host anyone at the moment, please feel free to ask questions/tips/advice for visiting Scotland. I'm particularly good with finding cheap train fares and pointing you towards the sights that are a must see in Edinburgh! Or if you just want to know what the weathers been like recently, ask away!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to explore and experience as much as I can in the world. Staying in hostels is great, but I'd really like to find out more about where I'm off to from the locals- hopefully making new friends along the way!
When I was younger and on family holidays, my dad always told me we should follow the locals and eat where they eat because it's probably the best around. So now I'm taking heed of that advice, and asking what the locals enjoy.
Interests
I give anything and everything a try. I love going on adventures with my boots and my backpack. Exploring cities, forests and everything in between. I love documenting my travels by taking loads of terrible pictures wherever I go. (You can find me on instagram- https://www.instagram.com/zoesadventures93/)
When I'm at home, you'll usually find me obsessing over my pets. Or if they're fed up with me, I'll be in the kitchen cooking up some weird and wonderful combination of food!

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is compiled of everything from Miley Cyrus, to Blink-182, to Mumford and Sons, and of course McFly.
My favourite movies and books are all sci-fi, fantasy and more sci-fi, twisted fairytales, with the occasional bit of Disney and Pixar flung in for good measure.
All time favourite book has to be Penguin Small- although The Lunar Chronicles are my favourite series of the moment. And my favourite romance movie has to be Wall.e.
I should probably mention here that I have a problem with Doctor Who. As in, I have a problem waiting on New episodes airing!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ahhh... I feel like I always try to make the most out of everything. That way everything seems pretty amazing in some aspect.
So, one thing I'll pick to mention is the time I completed my gliding scholarship with the air cadets. Flying solo in a Viking glider was definitely one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Not only the flight itself, but the whole time I was doing the scholarship was a pretty awesome experience!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My good old knowledge of Scotland. I could spend hours gabbing away about things I've learned over the years, as well as the country where my soul will always belong. I can go from talking about the most stupid things in the universe, to having a well-rounded, educated conversation. I'm also not bad at cooking, and can muster up some culinary delights!
