Overview
About Me
I love to travel! I'm a history student, and I thoroughly enjoy learning about the history and culture of the places that I travel to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people, and truly detest staying in hotels. I much prefer to experience the location I am visiting like a local would.
Interests
I study US political history with a focus on democratization - so I enjoy learning, debating, and reading about the United States as a superpower, presidential history, and the development of democracy.
Outside of my studies, I am interested in Canadian and World Politics, the arts (I love wandering museums!), and I have an amateur interest in fashion (but boy can I shop!) I also love food - eating it, watching shows about it, cooking it, listening to someone talk about it. I have a very small appetite but I truly appreciate a well made dish.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music is extremely varied. You can find anything from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Death Cab for Cutie, to David Guetta on my iPod.
I tend to read mainly books that are related to my studies, as I spend so much of my time working on academic projects, but I enjoy books that help to explain the world we are living in such as "The World is Flat" by Friedman or anything by Malcolm Gladwell. I am a voracious reader.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Mt. Sinai in the middle of the night with a Bedouin!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am interesting in learning new languages and recipes wherever I travel!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My travel (and life!) partner Patrick is the best thing I can share -- he is an excellent companion and is quick to make new friends, easy to spend time with, and always has a story to entertain.
