About Me

Always curious to learn about different ways of life, I believe in approaching every new culture with the utmost respect. 😊

I’m from Taiwan, a vibrant island known for its breathtaking high mountains and the profound hospitality of its people. Influenced by the elegance of Japanese culture and growing up in Taipei, politeness and helpfulness have become second nature, as these are the core values we deeply cherish.

I’ve been exploring Europe since July 2025. Back in Taipei, I live right in the city center near the iconic Taipei 101. Having worked in foreign affairs for the government, I see every cross-cultural encounter as a bridge. If you are my guest, you are my "ambassador." I love deep conversations—whether it’s about historical facts, art, or the nuances of politics.

I’m here because I value authentic connections over typical tourist attractions. I believe that every person has a unique story, and I’m eager to learn about real lifestyles that differ from my own. For me, the most rewarding part of traveling is the humble exchange of culture and the lasting friendships that grow from it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A Dutch friend suggested CS as a way to truly immerse myself in local cultures. Rather than traditional sightseeing, I’ve always found that the most meaningful travel experiences come from the people I meet and the everyday lives I’m privileged to witness. I stay curious and find deep satisfaction in learning about different perspectives; it reminds me how much there is still to discover about the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I. After studying diverse professional archives and cultural literature, I spent a year living at 2,000 meters in a Taiwanese indigenous mountainous area to put that knowledge into practice. Even within my own country, I chose to approach this new culture and language with humility, taking the time to truly immerse myself and integrate into their way of life. II. Performing Taiwanese pop music as a singer in campus and once on TV.

Cultural/Language Exchange, finance, and professional Hand-drip Coffee. ☕️
If you’re a coffee lover or a professional barista, please reach out to me when you visit Taiwan. I’d be more than happy to guide you through our vibrant local coffee scene.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I can offer language exchange, Taiwan tour advice, and small treats/gifts from Taiwan. If you'd like to try some Taiwanese soup or a warm dinner, I’d be happy to cook for you! I can also make you a cup of fine hand-drip coffee in the morning.
Also, I value cleanliness and quietness. I believe that keeping the space organized, maintaining a regular schedule, and respecting house rules are basic manners for being a good guest(roommate). I want to make sure my stay is easy and comfortable for you since you might have work to do during the day.

As a professional travel planner, I’m your go-to person for hidden gems:
High Mountain Trails: Taiwan has over 200 peaks above 3,000m!
Secret Places: Coastal escapes, hidden beaches, rivers, and easy scenic trails known only to locals.
Local Network: I can connect you with friends across Taiwan to be your local cultural guides.
Deep Insight: Political history, Indigenous Culture, modern/traditional arts, and local business networking.
Foodie Guide: From traditional street food to the best value restaurants in Taipei.
