Back in the states after 2 years living abroad. I'm a free spirit, not averse to jumping with the faith that a net will appear. I enjoy people who see the value in that, who can make me laugh or show me something in a way I've never seen before. I enjoy the richness and variety of experience that couchsurfing offers and I appreciate meeting people who view the world from a different slant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most simply, I believe in the concept.

A few years ago year, I quit my very demanding job in the US, sold most of my stuff and moved to France to live, write and explore. This was the start of a very unexpected 11 country adventure which eventually landed me in Paris, and taught me a lot about challenge, happiness and how I define success. Now, I'm back home, but I'm always planning, dreaming and scheming my next adventure.

The kindness and generosity I've experienced from strangers while traveling is a huge part of what has made my journies so remarkable. The kindness of locals has allowed me to keep learning, writing and traveling despite a million different obstacles, and has also opened me to so many secret worlds and experiences that I'd have otherwise missed. That goodness has been a lifeline for me, so it's important that I am able to pay it forward, whenever and however I can.
