Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Dili, where I live with my mom and siblings. I’m deeply passionate about my work, which sometimes makes it challenging to find time for social life—but beyond that, there’s a reflective and curious side of me shaped by my life experiences. I’m easygoing, a bit talkative, adventurous, and I love beaches, sunsets, and meaningful conversations. Above all, I value genuine friendship and human connection.
Couchsurfing, for me, is more than travel—it’s about trust, cultural exchange, and learning from one another’s lived experiences. My journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve faced struggles with mental health, including periods of depression, the weight of childhood wounds, and moments in my life where I felt deeply lost. These experiences have shaped how I see the world—with more empathy, awareness, and intention.
Living as a gay man in a society that is still largely patriarchal and shaped by strong expectations of masculinity has also influenced my journey. It has taught me resilience, self-awareness, and the importance of navigating identity with both courage and care. It’s not always a space where openness comes easily, but it has deepened my respect for authenticity, dignity, and the quiet strength people carry in their everyday lives.
Traveling and connecting with people have been part of my healing. Hearing others’ stories, sharing perspectives, and realizing that we are not alone in our struggles has been incredibly grounding for me. This is one of the reasons I’m here—to build connections that are honest, respectful, and human.
I also want to be clear about something important. I’m a gay man, and I carry myself with strong values of respect, boundaries, and integrity. I do not use Couchsurfing for personal or sexual purposes, and I am committed to creating a safe and respectful space for anyone I host or stay with. Mutual respect is essential—I offer it, and I expect it in return.
I’m also interested in learning how people understand life through different lenses—especially around gender equality, inclusion, and respect. I believe that every interaction is an opportunity to grow, challenge assumptions, and build a more compassionate way of seeing the world.
My Philosophy in Life
Living at a positive frequency allows the negatives to cancel out. I believe in the power of positivity, but also in acknowledging our struggles and choosing to grow through them with kindness and respect.
If you’re open to sharing stories, perspectives, and building a genuine and respectful connection, I would be happy to connect.

Interests
Work is an important part of my life—it gives me purpose and direction—but I also value the moments where I can step outside of it and experience the world. Traveling, when I can, is one of the ways I reconnect with myself and others. I enjoy meaningful conversations, especially around topics I care about like social change, identity, and human connection—so yes, I can be quite talkative when the conversation has depth.
I’m an avid reader and a movie enthusiast, drawn to stories that reflect real human struggles, resilience, and transformation. Writing is also very close to me. Poetry, in particular, has been one of my ways to process life, express emotions, and make sense of complex experiences.
I also have a passion for acting. I had the opportunity to play a lead role in the Timorese serial drama Laloran Justisa, and I appeared in the Netflix film Sergio (2020), directed by Greg Barker, where I portrayed a Timorese resistance soldier. These experiences shaped how I understand storytelling—not just as entertainment, but as a way to carry history, identity, and voice.
More than anything, I’m interested in people—their stories, their journeys, and the quiet ways we learn from one another.
