Overview
About Me
I am from Budapest, Hungary. Though I spent most of my life here, I lived in Karlsruhe, Germany for 6 months, and I absolutely loved it. I still speak German (leider ist mein Deutsch ein wenig passiv geworden). That's where I meet my ex-wife too. We have two kids, but we live separated.
I am very much interested in understanding the world around me. I studied computer science and later I used to work as a University lecturer. After that, I started to work for software companies. My last "normal" job was being a product manager for LogMeIn. I quit in 2017, and started to do my own software as a service company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people I would have never met otherwise. Currently, I live on a very limited budget. So, the basic idea is that if I don't have the money to go to other countries, then I let the world come here. You are very welcome to come and spend a few days here. I love to talk to and to get to know other people!
Interests
OK, so I love to go for a run in the morning. I love to cook my own meal (though I do it just a few times a week).
I love to meet friends and have a few drinks and a great conversation. Though I usually don't drink alcohol, they all do :) and I'm fine with that.
I do bodyweight training in the morning and I commute with my bicycle - I love being out there. I find it hard to spend many hours in the same building :)
I love to move.
I'd love to travel, but currently, I am in a situation, that doesn't allow me to travel as much I want, so I love to hear other people talking about their experiences.
In my spare time, I go touring. Either with my bicycle or with one of my motorbikes.
Oh, did I mention, that I love all sorts of bikes? If you love them too, maybe I can lend you one and can go for a short trip together.
When alone at home I love to read. I am interested in really all sorts of books, but I prefer novels, psychology, and everything science.
I am very much interested in history and politics. Have you read "Guns, Germs, and Steel" from Jared Diamond? If yes, then you know what I am talking about.
I have some side projects too: I do configcat.com and tradeproofer.com - I love both.
I am very much interested in software related businesses and programming. I understand, that most people don't :) However, if you are interested in that too that's great!
Oh, and I just started to take painting classes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took part in a 24 hours non-stop scooter race in 2016. That was crazy and demanding, but a great experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not a pro cook, but I can teach you to cook typical Hungarian meals.
I am happy to discuss everything I know about doing a digital business (I used to work as a product manager of a product with 2,000,000+ users and a $40million+ annual revenue). I am eager to learn from you and happy to teach you what I have learned so far.
I am happy to teach you the basics of my favorite art, Eskrima.
And I can teach you how to bake a bread without any special equipment (well, we'll need an oven).
I happily teach you everything I know about my country's history.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you would host me: I'm very easy going, clean, simple.
What I want to learn: People, places, and food. Conversations about science, beliefs, relationships. How everyday normal life looks like in your place.
